About The Christian Jung Community

Reclaiming the Spirit at the Heart of the Church

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

Why I Built This Space

I’ve spent my entire life inside Christianity.

I grew up as a missionary kid. Scripture was not an accessory in our home — it was the air we breathed. I’ve lived in multiple streams of Christian culture, studied the Bible for decades personally and at seminary, and pursued graduate work in Jungian psychology because I felt something stirring that I couldn’t ignore:

We are overwhelmed with theological information,

but miss spiritual transformation.

Over time, I began to notice something quietly aching beneath the surface of modern Christianity. We have sharp theology. We have confident apologetics. We have endless debates about culture, politics, and end-times charts.

But many believers feel spiritually malnourished.

Additionally, I am a person who has lived her whole life with Cerebral Palsy. I’ve grounded my work in psychologically safe practices because I’ve been (far too often) on the other side of that line.

Where Psychology and Theology Meet

My two degrees in Jungian psychology were never about drifting away from Scripture.

They were about understanding how the human soul actually experiences God.

Carl Jung once said he felt called to “reanimate the Spirit for the Christian.” That line lodged in me. Not because Jung replaces theology — but because he understood something crucial:

Transformation does not happen through argument alone.

It happens when the Holy Spirit meets the depths of the soul.

Dreams. Symbols. Awe. Conviction. Numinous moments that undo us and rebuild us. These are not fringe experiences. They are biblical experiences.

(In fact, I developed this resource for paid subscribers: NINE AI PROMPTS FOR WORKING WITH YOUR DREAMS: A Christian and Jungian Framework for Using AI Without Losing the Holy Spirit - check it out here).

Joseph dreamed.
Daniel interpreted.
Peter saw visions.
John fell “as though dead” before the risen Christ.

The Bible is saturated with psychological depth and spiritual encounter.

My work stands at that intersection:
sound theology and living Spirit.
symbol and Scripture.
discernment and orthodoxy.

A Psychologically-Safe Christian Experience

One of the deepest burdens I carry is this:

Many Christians have been harmed in environments where spiritual language was loud but psychological safety was absent.

Fear-based control.
Shaming theology.
Pressure to perform spiritual experiences.
Dismissal of mental health as “lack of faith.”

That is not the Spirit of Christ.

Here, we practice something different.

We believe:

  • The Holy Spirit does not override your nervous system.

  • God does not coerce intimacy.

  • Discernment requires grounding, not frenzy.

  • Spiritual formation and psychological health belong together.

A psychologically-safe Christian experience means:

  • You are not pressured into mystical performance.

  • Your questions are not shamed.

  • Your inner world is not pathologized.

  • Scripture is honored.

  • The Spirit is welcomed.

  • And discernment is practiced with humility.

We move slowly.
We test experiences against Scripture.
We cultivate emotional maturity alongside spiritual hunger.

This is not hype-driven spirituality.

It is rooted formation.

This Is a Movement

The Christian Jung is not simply a newsletter.

It is a gathering of people who sense that something holy has been misplaced in modern Christianity — and want to help restore it.

We are not anti-intellectual.

We are not abandoning doctrine.

We are not drifting into vagueness.

We are reclaiming the mystical heart of the Church.

Public essays name the crisis and recover forgotten language.

Paid formation spaces practice discernment, symbolic literacy, and biblical imagination together.

And at Daniel’s Table level we gather those called not only to be formed, but to help form others — through mentorship, pilgrimage, and home-based hubs where Word and Spirit are lived in real community.

This is not content consumption.

It is participation in a holy reclaiming of Spirit + Truth.

My Commitment to You

I will remain:

  • Theologically grounded.

  • Biblically anchored.

  • Psychologically aware.

  • Spiritually attentive.

  • Humble about what is mystery.

  • Careful about what I claim.

  • Open to correction.

  • Rooted in Christ.

I do not believe theology and the Spirit are enemies.

I believe they were always meant to breathe together.

The Christian Jung Manifesto

Reclaiming the Spirit at the Heart of the Church

We believe the Church does not suffer from too much theology —
but from theology severed from encounter.

We believe the Holy Spirit has not grown silent —
but we have forgotten how to listen.

We believe dreams still matter.
Symbols still speak.
Awe is still holy.
And the numinous is not a threat to faith — it is its birthplace.

We are not anti-intellectual.

We are not abandoning orthodoxy.

We are not drifting into vagueness.

We are recovering the biblical imagination.

We are reclaiming the language of symbol.

We are forming men and women who can discern the Spirit in a world fluent in analysis.

This is not content consumption.

This is formation.

This is not a reaction against the Church.

This is restoration within it.

If you feel a quiet recognition stirring as you read this —
if you have sensed that something holy has been misplaced in modern Christianity —

Welcome.

You are not alone.

Who This Is For

This space is for you if:

  • You are theologically serious but inwardly restless.

  • You suspect your shadow is shaping your leadership.

  • You’ve had dreams that felt meaningful but didn’t know how to discern them.

  • You’ve outgrown shallow spiritual answers but refuse to abandon orthodoxy.

  • You sense that the Holy Spirit works deeper than your conscious awareness.

It may not be for you if you want quick fixes or purely intellectual debate.

This is formation work. And in that way, I see this space as holy.

What You Receive

Free Subscribers

Every Sunday, I publish free, theologically-rich + Spirit-activated articles — teaching that explores Scripture, symbol, sanctification, and the psychological life of faith. It includes devotional content and theological formation.

The free content is substantial. I don’t withhold insight to manufacture scarcity.

But the deeper work happens inside the paid community.

Why Consider Becoming a Paid Member?

Because information does not transform you.

Paid members receive:

Weekly Guided Formation Articles

Each week I walk you through a structured contemplative-psychological practice that takes the free article from What to the How:

  • A theological framing

  • A Jungian concept clarified and grounded

  • A careful discernment lens

  • Guided journaling

  • Questions that go beneath the surface

  • A closing blessing

This is not more content.

It is interior, devotional work that comes from centuries of devotional practice in the saints and mystics of the Church.

Monthly Live Gatherings

We gather live to:

  • Clarify difficult concepts

  • Talk through shadow dynamics safely

  • Explore dream discernment frameworks

  • Ask honest theological questions

These gatherings build something rare — thoughtful, symbol-literate Christian community.

Discernment Tools

I share concrete frameworks for:

  • Testing dreams

  • Identifying projection

  • Recognizing when shadow is at work

  • Distinguishing psychological material from spiritual warfare

  • Integrating insight without destabilizing faith

This kind of clarity prevents confusion.

And confusion is one of the biggest reasons Christians avoid this territory.

Daniel’s Table: For Those Who Want More

“As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill… and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.” (Daniel 1:17)

Daniel’s Table Membership is not for consumers of content.

You are co-builders.

You are seeding a return to symbolic literacy, Spirit-filled discernment, and embodied holiness in a generation trained to debate but not to kneel.

As a Steward at Daniel’s Table, you receive:

• Quarterly small-group discernment gatherings — consecrated spaces where significant encounters are prayerfully brought into the light. We are grounded in theology + Spirit practice.
• Early invitations to pilgrimages — I’ve taken three teams to Greece and Ireland; early birthplaces of spiritual encounter. These encounters will be opened up to you to attend: to let God show us how to be a light in a generation, and because symbolic faith must eventually walk on real soil.
• The opportunity to establish local “Hubs” — homes where you can practice your leadership in bringing Word and Spirit together, not just discussed.

This circle is small by design.

Movements do not begin with crowds.
They begin with consecrated tables.

If you feel the call not only to be formed — but to help form others — Daniel’s Table is where that work begins.

A Word About Safety

I care deeply about theological clarity.

This space is not:

  • Anti-Church

  • Anti-doctrine

  • Self-worship

  • Spiritual sensationalism

It is reverent.

We move slowly.
We test what we engage.
We bring everything back to Christ.

A Personal Note

I believe many Christians are spiritually sincere but psychologically split.

We confess Christ publicly
while hiding whole rooms of our inner life.

But the saints speak of deeper transformation.
Of union.
Of wholeness.
Of integration.

If sanctification is real, it must reach the unconscious.
It must reach shadow.
It must reach longing.

I built this space because I could not find one that held both depth and orthodoxy without fear.

If you’ve been looking for that too — you’re welcome here.
